Hi everyone,

I have a technical question on a shot that I would like to reproduce.

I would like to reproduce an effect when the camera, in a single shot, pass under the feet and comes back. To better understand I propose you to watch this music video at 5:40 when the camera flipping under the feet. They probably used Alien AR rig, but we don't see the edge of anything.

Thanks for your help.

Fred

He would have had to have been (don't you love the English language) standing on some sort of clear plexi or glass platform -- any edges would have been erased in post.

Hi,

It's exactly as David pointed out: A piece of thick plexi on which he is standing, and through lighting (high key in this case) you can barely see it and it's easy to cover up anyway in post.

You can see the edges of the entire platform towards the end of the video, when the camera is pulling out.

here's another recent video with the same technique, albeit the frame is visible, (mark 3:20)

Ciao.
