I have used the Pantom HD and recently the Gold and love the 14 bit image.
I was thinking of buying a phantom V10 and adding a P2 of CF storage via HD-SDI to it.Then I notice that the HS-1 is in the competing price range(but only 10 bit??).
We are hoping to put together a pretty rugged system for portable outdoor use without massive download times and for use in situation like car races etc where vibration would be an issue.
I was reading the HD Vs Weiscam-2 post below and wondered if anyone has any similar advice for us?

Any advice about rugged download systems via HD-SDI and there problems would also be great.

You could certainly do this although I would suggest using something like a Cinedeck to record the shots unless you needed something really small and light, in which case I would suggest the nanoFlash. You might also want to look at the less expensive v210 or v310 model Phantoms.
