So this is what you get if you overexpose 2 stops and pull?

 

I just really love the way this thing looks. I know it's not for everyone, but man how I love that look.

I'm not sure I'd agree with him that you can safely overexpose film by 6 stops.  Film is forgiving, but not that forgiving. You'd end up with a very dense negative that would be hard to scan, and your highlight detail would be gone.

I'm not sure he's 100% reliable either. He told everyone that he shot the movie using one can of film but listed two different filmstocks on Vimeo.

 

I do love the look of the film at least until she enters the prison. From then on I still like it but I find it heavy on the blue.

 

Both stocks listed are tungsten balanced.
