I am thinking about buying a Sony F3 for some personal work as they are so cheap right now. the Internal 8bit 4:2:0 has always been a turn off and SxS is expensive so I was thinking of getting a monitor recorder to at least get 10bit Pro Res from it.

There are a few of these recorders out there - Atomos Blade, Ki Pro Mini, Odyssey 7 was wondering if there is any real difference in picture quality as the Atmos blade is $500.00 cheaper then anything else. Anyone use/have issues with the Atomos?

Odyssey does somewhat more, but unless you specifically need the toys, Atomos is fine. Also the display is brighter, and full HD res.

The screen on one I had on approval cracked just by rubbing some grime off, but I suspect that's a one-off.
