I am setting up to do the lights for a small project and would like to bring along my Sony production monitor so I can be sure how everything looks. The folks who are "producing" this piece are using a Panny DVX-100A and a Canon XL-2 and shooting in 24P mode. I would like to take an S-video cable out of the back of the camera, first the Panny and later the Canon and run it into my Sony PVM-9L2 but I am curious if it will work when the cameras are set for 24P? I have done this numerous times with the old XL1S, but it was always shooting 60i, or normal NTSC.

Anyone have any experience with this and know if it will work or not?

Thanks,

DVX outputs standard 60i even for 24p since it's adding pulldonw in the camera. Any NTSC devices will work with it.
