Hi, I'm new to the board!
UCLA Extension has a 35mm course. Does anyone know anything about it? Here's the description:
"Through a variety of hands-on exercises and training sessions, participants learn the operation of Panavision, Arriflex, and other common 35mm cameras. Participants learn to "build" these cameras, load the magazines, and thread cameras. Cinematography issues, such as the nature of emulsions, exposure of the camera original, the effect of filters, the aesthetics of composition, and set protocol, also are examined. Students shoot 35mm footage in camera tests to better demonstrate essential concepts, such as camera ramping, shutter angle, high-speed imaging, and various situations where exposure needs to be calculated."
