I am producing a Paintball show with a lot of action. I have a Panasonic DVX-100 which is great but I need 3 more cameras. For about the same price I could get 3 FX-1 ever thought the show will be SD it gives me the HD option for future shoots. How does the FX compare to the ZU?

well, I guess the only real difference betwen the fx1 and zu are some proffesional features like XLR?

Yep - other than the sound stuff, the only important omission (IMO) is black stretch, which helps FX1 a bit in contrasty situations.
