Can someone recommend an "easy to read" book on the aspects of lighting techniques. I have Ross Lowell's "Matters of Light and Depth" and I think it is an OK book...... but it is written (beautifully) with so much metaphoric rhetoric that sometimes I miss the point he is trying to make on certain things. I can tell he knows a lot about his craft and that he loves it....but I need a book that is more technically written. Thanks in advance!!![size=2]

Try "Film Lighting" by Malkiewicz.

Try these:
'Cinematography: Image Making for Cinematographers, Directors, and Videographers'
&
'Motion Picture and Video Lighting' both by Blain Brown, both excellent books.
