Ok not sure if this thread has run on here yet or not.

What is every ones favorite film of 2005 overall, not just the cinematography. And the reasons?

My vote is for: March Of The Penguins.

Reason: This film proved that you DON'T need 50 billion in CGI or 20 million dollar spoiled brat actors to produce a hit production. They just used nature in its raw form, nothing else. Yes I know they applied human emotions like "love", to animals, which have no concept of love-just instinct. But it's still a movie and it was a good way to keep the audience engaged.

On a production note the shooting was very good, Morgan Freeman's VO was an excellent choice, and the score was quite likeable.

FYI, on the web site theonion.com there is a hilarious spoof article of Michael Bay's opinion of the film.
