Hi there

I know that the Arri 235 is a MOS camera. However, does anyone know the db level? Is it similar to the Aaton 35mm camera? Don't people use it as a steadicam camera and still record production sound? Any thoughts?

Cheers

The Aaton 35 is a camera that one can record useable sound with under favorable circumstances (like exteriors). The 235 definitely does not fall into that same category. It is, much like the 435, a pure MOS camera. If people use it on steadicam or any other application and record sound with it, you can bet that the sound will have to be re-recorded afterwards, especially if dialogue is involved.
