what is the workflow with AJ-SDX900

hi all
i wonder if it's possible to catch the material directly from the camera body and what is the difference with renting an item to read dvc-pro 50 ?
it's for a music video

The only thing you could do direct from the camera is to digitize the composite video output (not good enough for professional work), unless you have the SDI option. You'll want to rent a deck, and probably capture over firewire in the native DV50 codec.

do you mean it's possible to digitize from the camera body with the sdi option in the dv50 codec or i'm i out of reality??

You can digitize with the SDI output, yes. But you have NO control and I don't think you get timecode either. You need to manually cue the tape. So yes you can but it's not very efficient.
