I'm designing a set for a "TV news show" project. I have been looking at various "news" shows to see what some of the prevailing designs are. Some networks like CNN seem to use fully constructed sets with lots of LCD/flat-panel screens in the background, while other "news" shows like The O'Reilly Factor look like they could be almost exclusively blue screen sets.

Regarding the new set design on the "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central: Are those large screens in the background using front/back projection, or are they actually practicals of some sort - LCD perhaps?
