dvx100 distance equivalent

Hi yall !

I just shot a short with the pana agdvx100E (in 25P, I live in france).Good camera. But my AC went crazy when she saw those funky focus distances: what is the equivalence in feet?!!! well, here whe go: during a lunch break, she did the mesures (sorry I my english isn't good, not really my native language) and thats what we got:

the distance where taking from the small screw holding the mic. She didn't go over 20 feet because we where in a really small interior.

check it out and tell me if you guys find it usefull !

Intersting, and helpful I'm sure, though I'm curious because in "THE DVX BOOK" that Barry Green put out there is a similar chart with many increments between each foot mark, however, the numbers you posted are a little different than what he put in his book, but I also think there might be a +or- margin of a couple of points on these numbers.

The HD successor to the DVX, the HVX200, shows focus measurements via either the 0-99 scale or actual distances, whichever you prefer.

I have a DVX focus chart that was posted on the net a few years back. If you have any use for it, I can e-mail it.
