I have just acquired an old CP16R in need of some love and wondered if anybody has a service manual or even just a operation manual as a PDF (or other downloadable file)?

Thanks,

Jay

Often available as a hard copy on eBay. I've searched before and haven't found a download.

If anyone does have or find a file of the repair manual I'd like to get one also. In the past I've scanned in manuals (for B&L Balplan microscopes) and placed them on the web for public use. As long as they don't have copyright issues, the manufacturers (if they still exist) wouldn't care, would they?

Would a defunct company (like Cinema Products) have any issue with publically available doucumentation, anyway? You can't buy the manuals from the manufacturer, and any company secrets would be long forgotten by now ...

I've got a tremendous amount of service manuals for the CP16-R. I haven't transferred them to file but would be willing to. Let me know what you're looking for.

I recently bought one original CP-16R Operation & Maintenance manual in print. I already have an addendum to this manual after they made the shutter 170° sent me by CP years ago.
There might be good news for the community :)

I'm not sure which version this one is, but I loaded it on my website for your convenience:
( The first two pages are poor scans but they improve)

Thanks!
That one is the 58-page Interim Manual consists of some electrical and mechanical issues. Its not a complete service manual nor parts list. The one I told is a manual that consist of operating and maintenence instructions.

Thank you for schematic, this is very interested for study.
CP-16R have DC motor with permanent magnet, optical feed back sensor.
But, CP-16R have one crystal sync speed ( 24 or 25 fps ) only and all other speeds generate from second RC generate.

I think, the installation of modern microprocessor controller with all crystal sync speeds, crystal sync speeds synthesizer o CP-16R possible.

That's why, if the users of CP-16R wish to have modern camera with all crystal sync speeds ( classic cine, NTSC, PAL ) i will glad to discuss about this.

That pdf is not complete and some important pages are not included.
I have one complete in print, and need time to create a pdf.
