I have been discussed this effect with my friends for a while. but shame on my knowledge isn't deep enough to provide the answer.

I know, how it's been done in Schindler's List. but can you make the colour faded instead of B&W, and make one colour (Red, Gree....etc) stands out.

Can you make it in processing or post-production.

would be really appreciated, if anyone can help me.

The obvious way to do this is by set design.

Processing by way of bleach bypass will desaturate all the colours, but you can't select a single colour to stand out.

However, extremely saturated colours do seem to survive bleach bypass more than others. You might find, with a lot of testing, that if you are able to get an extremely bright colour for what you want to stand out (e.g. a bright red coat, or green car, whatever), and you combine that with bleach bypass, you might get the effect you want.

A colour enhancing filter might help too.

But if you can't control what is in front of the camera, and you are working on film, then you can do all of what you describe via a digital intermediate.

It's possible also to desaturate via optical effects printing, and you can single out certain colours to be less deaturated than others. But it's painfully difficult optically, and quite easy digitally.
