Hi,
I am going to shoot a tv movie for Morocco. I have plenty of experience with the PAL system but Morocco works with secam.
They are both quite similar in teory. But, Is there anything i should take care about¿
I know frecuency and resolution is the same. but, What about the color¿
camera is a 790 digibeta with pro35 and primes.
thanks

Hi,

You are not going to shoot SECAM, but Digibeta. The SECAM coding will be done at the end of the post production process.

There is nothing to worry about, as far as I know. In France we also broadcast in SECAM (historically why you do as well in Marocco).

Just mind not to let the reds be too strong, that have a tendency to blur a bit.

All production nad post work for SECAM broadcast is done in PAL system. Because of the similarities between the two systems(50Hz etc) there is nearly none of the quality loss that is experienced from transfering from NTSC to PAL or visa versa.
