I am shooting a few student shorts and spec. comercials that all have very different visual styles, from a gritty "urban" documentary to a high-contrast film noir style to a romantic comedy that I want go be very glossy and bright and saturated. I was looking into using different stocks for the various projects but it was suggested to me that I just shoot them all on 7218 and create the different looks in telecine and in post. This to me sounded like odd advice, but was told that Kodak is slowly getting rid of its different stocks in favor of the Vision 2 line. Is this true? I wasnted to see if anyone has any advice/suggestions. So far I have shot with 7218 and 7205, but I want to try to shoot with something else to get the looks I am going for in these films rather than rely on post effects to get the results. Thanks
