Andec Frame Master (Super8 Pressure Plate)

Has anyone heard of (or even better used) the Andec filmtechnik Frame Master Device? It appears to be an attempt to replicate a pressure plate type device for super 8 cameras (although this device fits into the actual S8 cartridge rather than the camera). Here's the link:

I have used this on K40 cassettes but not notice any difference.
It seems to have bigger impact on "thicker" films as Ektachrome
and negativ-films!!!!!!
