I've recently been putting a Tiffen 82mm UV filter on our Fujinon zoom and have noticed that in certain conditions it adds some circular darkening on the image. Is this normal? Is there a way to avoid this? I want to keep some sort of protective glass on the lens, but this isn't acceptable.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I would ask this question on CML. You will almost certanly get a reply from Ira Tiffen who is now retired.
