where can i find cheap short ends?

I´m looking a cheap short ends for camera test. where can I find them? ebay maybe?

For anything critical, be sure they have been tested to look for any problems due to old age, x-ray exposure or poor storage.

I'm about to test my brand new HVX200. Does anyone have some old 3/4" U-Matic stock I can cut down to do camera tests with? ;)

Later - Just reviewed my footage - it stinks! dropouts everywhere! This camera sux :angry:

Caveat emptor!

Buying short ends and recans is kind of like buying a used car. There are some really great deals, but there's certainly a few lemons too. Think of a "clip test" by your lab as taking a used car to be inspected by a mechanic before you buy it, just to be sure the "previous owner" didn't leave the film in a scorching hot camera truck or ship it as checked baggage that gets x-rayed. :rolleyes:
