Dumb question. It is obviously 1:133.

Funny how HD has barely gotten to true hi def widescreen. In order to achieve scope the image would have to be cropped at 1440x640.

Remember to ask: "What is the pixel aspect ratio?"

Remember to ask: "What is the pixel aspect ratio?"

If you're talking about HDV, its 1440x1080(i) you should not forget that these are not "square" pixels but have an aspect ratio of 1.422, so effectively its 16:9 or 1.778

Hi,

HDCAM samples 1920x1080 at 3:1:1. so it is recorded to tape as 1440x1080.
