Hi People,

I have just watched Angela's Ashes, and was blown away by the composition and colour pallette used throughout. Coming from a stills perspective I guess I'm wooed by beautiful compositions and top quality lighting set ups. For me this film just really hit the spot.

What do you seasoned pros think?

Also does anyone have any info on stock, techniques, effects, lighting etc pertaining to quite how this fabulous look was achieved.

Thanking you all for your indulgence

There was an AC article on the film when it got released. I seem to remember that it was shot on Cooke S4 lenses.

Technically speaking, I know nothing about the filming of Angela's Ashes. From and end user's point of view, I think the photography perfectly match my mind's eye, from reading the book.

I seem to recall the article saying that it was shot on EXR 500T 5298 (maybe some 5248 for day stuff?) and used an ENR-type process for the prints, or at least it looked that way to my eyes.
