... do they mean "C" mount?

If so what then is the "B" mount and the "PL"?

Sorry for the pedestrian question but I've been poking around the net for a while and I havn't found a clear answer. Basically, I've got an Arri S/B and I want to find some more (or the right) lenses for it.

muchas gracias,
Christian

C mount is a screw in mount.. the lens will have a threaded part on it that will set the lens
The arri standard mount has two screw knobs that press two calipers against the end of the appropriate lens to set it
The arri bayonet mount has 2 small metal appendiges that slides into the mount which is grooved to allow for them, then you turn the lens to lock it into slots that are perpendicular to those grooves
PL mount is another twist and lock I think.. haven't ever handled anything of the sort though.. it's generally the prefered mount for all modern and updated camera equipment and lenses.. arri bayonets are the other popular choice
hope that helps
