I have a Sony PC101 camcorder. It's obviously not a high end professional camcorder, but I can't afford anything better at the moment. One thing that annoys me about it however is that the viewfinder is pretty useless unless you're shooting off a tripod with the camera at your eye level. So, I have to use the 2.5 inch screen, which doesn't show brilliant clarity for perfect focussing, doesn't show the entire image, and is bad for shooting in sunlight.

So, I wondered if it's possible to get an auxiliary black and white viewfinder that can plug into say, the video out 3.5 jack (phono is possible, I've got adapters), that I can perhaps attach to the camcorder somehow.

This probably doesn't exist, but I thought it was worth a try.

Cheers
