calibrating light meters

hello im going to purchase a sekonic light meter 558c very soon
and i just wanted to know everything i need to know about having a light meter

my question is about calibrating light meters, how do you guys do it? do you have to take it to a shop for them to do it properly ? and also how often should one calibrate their light meter?

Yes you should get it calibrated from a specialist - If you tell us where you are, may be a forumer could give you an adress.

I think it's a good thing to have it checked one or twice a year if you use it a lot, once every 2 years otherwise.
