shooting a bike chase!

hi all
me planning on shootng a bike chase. Ext/Day/435 arri/hawk/ 5217 kodak/
how all can i shoot it to get a nerve wrecking footage. i have the option to DI this sequnce alone. so how much can i experiment with other formats and hence other kind of cameras and rigging possibilitis.
how do they shooot the sports video of bike racing (racer POV shot, wheel shots, speedometer including the road ahead, CU of biker face at that break neck speed....)
oooooof.....very challenging...but gona be tough.....tips please....thanks

i've used the bed of a truck, heavily fortified for stability, even having a camera on a makeshift skateboard being pulled by a truck, with a person attached between (quite fun) for low to high angled shots.

POV shots for the races use helmet cameras, or cameras mounted onto a bike. If it is a POV of one of the racers though, it's a small camera.

Tank mounts work well for POV shots fore and aft. Depending on the bike you can find nice locations for mounting rigs.
