Forget Sokurov, Nuri Ceylan's new film 'Climates' is in competition at Cannes. He is the true successor to Tarkovsky.

The film was shot on the F900 and the trailer is breathtaking.

I have seen the movie in Cannes. Projected at the big Lumiere theater on HD and it looked very nice. The movie is beautiful. Too bad it was ignored by the jury. But it got the Critic's Prize.

Actually I had a friend who saw it in Cannes complain that it looked very videoish. She thought that it was shot on DV or something, not HD. This is a comment by a person who has a writing background (journalist and screenwriter)
