We are filming a scene, on Mini DV, with about 6-8 TVs playing in the background. Aside from a flicker box, which we can?t afford, is there any way to avoid the flickering effect caused on our tapes? We really need to have clear shots of the images on the screens.

As a side note, the scene is supposed to look like it is mainly lit by the TVs. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!

If they are NTSC TV's, use 1/60th shutter speed or the clear-scan function to get rid of the roll bar (NTSC is 59.94i, so you may have to use the clear-scan feature and adjust the shutter in Hz if 1/60th doesn't work).

For PAL TV's, it would be 1/50th.
