720p inverse telecine

To inverse telecine a 720p/60p back to 720p/24p, should I only drop the frames? When 720p was telecined, although it's progressive, is it possible that it was field interlaced?

Are you talking about film that was transferred to DVCPro HD?

Yes. But how the telecine was done is unkown to me. Say, I have the 720/60p material.
