Has anyone ever tried using one of these? It's a c-mount adaptor for a Pentax M42 mount. Kinda intriguing.

M42 screw mount lenses have flange focal distance 45.5 mm
C-mount lenses have flabge focal distance 17.52 mm.
I not see draft of this adapter, but, i can suppose, they set C-mount lens on M42 flange focal distance.
45.5-17.52 = 27.98 mm, this is super macro mode for C-mount lens.
I don,t know what focusing distance will have this system, possible 2....5 sm.
You need macro shoots ?

I poked around some more and it looks like you'd need one of those teleconverters or something on that order if you wanted to make a c-mount work as something other than a macro lens. Of course then, it might vignette like crazy.

That thing won't work on a K3. Otherwise, everyone would be using it.

---An astronomical telescope site.

Could that imply these aren't for terrestial photography?

That's the problem. It's for mounting an SLR on a telescope basically. Too bad it's a no-go.
