So I purchased a bunch of short ends from media distrabutors, and one of the rolls was packed wrong, turned out to be 7218 instead of 7217. Obviously there would be a world of difference between the two stocks, and given the short length I couldnt forsee being able to porpous a look around that can, so I talked the MD and they are shipping me out a new reel of 7217 and told me to keep the other one. I'm amazed. Most companies I work with tell me to do a million things (at my own expense) to fix their mistakes, I didn't expect this from a short end dealer. so this is the end of my story and semi add for them(purely for their generosity), though I don't really work for them. Media Distrabutors is a great company, we need more like them (ehhem AOL! I want my $16.20 back!)

also now on my first film purchase I have a reel just to experiment with, that I don't need for my short!
