i cant decide between the canon xl2 and the jvc hd100u.

i like the JVC because

better ergonomics than the xl2
still has that broadcast look
has a big fold out lcd screen compared to xl2's 2 inch viewfinder
has HD and SD formats
i hear jvc is pretty good in low light
and jvc has interchangeable lens like the xl2.

so yea, i cant decide. are those reasons good enough reasons to spend 1600 dollars more or should i buy the xl2 and use the 1600 dollars to get a nice mic or whatever?

the main thing im asking is, which of these two cameras can produce the best film like image.

ok thanks

XL2 I have used both these cameras in my film class and the xl2 produces great video, and you can upgrade with the 1600 to a 35mm lense and you will have a sick camera. the jvc hd100u is great but the xl2 has some nice options and you save a bunch of money.

but any way since you already dicided what did you pick?
