How good is single frame capturing, one by one? Is the capture more reliable when in a static environment opposed to general moving capture?

Alessandro,

thanks very much, will call the london places on monday. VTR is another london based company that can do it with thier spirit. what amazes me is how all the really big places don't seem to do it- no framestore, mill etc...

Keith, my list is now two years old, so there probably are additional places that now offer it. If you discover that to be the case please let me know and I'll update the list.

Hello Alessandro,

I have checked your link about Spirit Datacine that would have super-8 adapter.
Please note that there is currently no facility in Brasil offering a super-8 adapter with a Spirit.
I have checked that (yesterday) with Mrs. Lili Carvalho at www.cinemasp.com.br and Mrs. Mary Ribeiro at www.labocine.com.br

There is a lack of HD transfer or 2K scanning for super-8 footage in our region.

Regards,
Daniel
