I am shooting a small scale documentary next week on a Sony HDR-HC1 Camera, not an ideal professional spec I know, but the best that could be obtained. In any case, I need some advice as to the best format to film in ie 16:9 vs 4:3. The film will ultimately be used in education in DVD PAL format. How much of this is now being filmed in 16:9 and to what extent can my 16:9 digital footage be outplayed to a 4:3 format later, or is it best to use the 4:3 format native in the camera? Sorry, that this is such a basic question, but I would appreciate some advice here.
