Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. My name is Saul.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me with this question.

I got my Sony HVR A1U for over couple of months now... what I?ve notice for the XLR input, when I plug in input 1 and 2 I only get mono sound meaning input 1 sound on left channel only and input 2 sound on the right channel only.

I thought 2 xlr input meaning that you can hear sound from left and right CH coming from each of the input 1 and 2.

I mess around with all the adjustment and setting trying to get left and right sounds coming from each of the input. Still no go.

Please help.

Thanks

Saul

No, this is how it work and this way only. Keeping the audio tracks separate is best for clean editing later. If you wish to mix the sound you can use asmall mixer or simply use a splitter cable to send the sound to both tracks. I would not recommend this.
