I don't care about the spring wind up. I am looking to do a timelapse test and just wanted to see whats out there.
Just to tell you what's out there: The russian AKS-1 movie camera, it a world war II unit, it's spring wound, can be used with handcrank, not shure if it does single frame. I once saw an experimental film done with this camera in handcrank mode... I guess you won't find modern optics to fit this.
How to run a mitchel in singel frame was discussed before in this forum; that won't be as portable as a bolex...
