A short film that I DP'd and co-directed is being released next week by SONY/BMG as a special edition CD/DVD of the Fray's debut album, How to Save A Life. My short film, called "The place that I'm from. The place that I'm in." is a 18 min documentary about the band's life over the course of the past year.

On my website you can view the trailer for this project along with the complete "making of" the band's new music video for How To Save A Life.

I'd really like to get some feedback about these two projects in addition to the trailer for a documentary about a castle named Vikingsholm in Lake Tahoe, CA. That project was shot last September by myself as well.

Hope to hear your thoughts and comments!

Cheers,

Rod

Nice work. I really like how you put together the behind the scenes piece. Using the answering machine message was a great idea. The other piece looks interesting as well.

What did you shot the Vikingsholm piece with? Beautiful work.

Thanks for checking those out guys. I really appreciate it.

Brad H - The Vikingsholm piece was shot mostly with several DVX100a's. The large jib shots you see were shot with a SDX900 and in the final edit if the film we have some 16mm.

Call me a nut, but even at 25, I wish I could shoot everything in Super 16 or 16, and then with my DVX100. I love the ability to have the footage be so similar right out of the gate.

Cheers,

Rod
