I need some help. I have a shot i need to set up that involves tracking a pool ball as it is hit by the cue, im trying to get the camera at a 45 degree tilt and suspended over the pool table. Im using an xl2 and im going to use a fisher dolly and run it parralel with the pool table. After it tracks the cue ball hitting the pack the camea will boom and tilt up so its level, and frame 3 girls walking into the bar.
Would the 24 inch offset extension arm be a good tool to use for this? And how much would it be to rent for a day ot two from JL Fisher?
If anyone has any other suggestions of achieving this shot then that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Sure ... Or you can get a 36" offset, which has holes in it so you don't have to use all 36". You might also use the ratcheting offset. If you want a real good tilt, you can use an o'conner fluid head, it tilts to 90 degrees. If you don't get an O'conner, or other similiar heavy duty head, make sure you get the mitchell to ball adapter, or else you won't be able to attach you ball fluid head to the extension. The offsets won't break your budget.
