I'm looking to start editing with Smoke or other
that will interact well with my Combustion I'm
using. The footage that I get back from the
telecine uses the Blackmagic codec, and the
results using Discreet as opposed to Premiere
is drastically better!

I would suggest posting on the Creative Cow forum for that question. I did tons of research a year back on Smoke, I was trying to find a workshop to take courses on it. From what I found I believe it doesn't work on XP but you might just call Autodesk directly as well. Only wish I could afford the $50,000.00 G's to buy it. A production company I work with alot has a full Autodesk editing suite. I've seen it in use before and the workflow looks awesome. Well here is a link to CC
