I might be wrong but the shots in anamorphic makes people look fat, check out the site

Well the test is not very clear. this kind of test must be shoot with light, test charts, etc In this case the shots were no more suscessfull.

There's true anamorphic lenses dedicated to super 8 called Iscorama (Schneider)...
There's 2 different anamorphic ratio for those 10mm lenses : 1.5X and 2X.... it gives a final aspect of 2 and 2.66
