Vistavision lens coverage, still Leica or Master Primes?

I have been digging around the forums and the net, for and answer but I have not find it. So what I am asking is...

Does a Master prime or Hawk anamorphic, if you want to go for a ridiculous 3:1 aspect ratio for that matter, cover the Vistavision frame? Or do I need a still camera lens, the Vistavision cameras I have come across all seem to come with Lecia mount?

Interesting, the majority of Vistavision camera I come across have Nikon mounts.

The image circle from a motion picture lens will not cover the format, but still format lenses (essentially designed for the same format) will cover it. The motion picture 35mm format is four perforations vertical, Vistavision (and traditional still format 35mm) is 8 perforations horizontal. This is why they sometimes call it 'Lazy 8,' eight perforations on it's side...
