Does anyone know of any VTR (other than the JVC offerings) that will playback tapes recorded on the GY-HD100 24p format?

With all the HDV offerings available there's certainly plenty to choose from, unfortunately none of the formats are compatible between manufacturers. You'll have to use JVCs HDV deck or the cam.
