Has anyone had any experience using filters for anything rather than colour conversion i.e diffusion, polarizing etc. I've read it's a bad idea to use filters on super 8 cameras.

Due to the deep DOF, dirt and dust on the filter gets visible, if you shoot tele it's not realy a problem, otherwise clean your filters... some diffusion filters that have a structure or nylon-tights won't work. That's the same for video with small ccds.
