Clicked on this link today:

Independent Production Company seeks a Cinematographer/Director of Photography for a low budget R & B Music Video to be shot on 24P Digital Camera.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Cinematographer/D.P. MUST have at least 3 years of Music Video experience or more using Digital Cameras. NO STUDENTS.

2) Cinematographer/D.P. MUST have their own high end Digital Camera equipment/package. Panasonic DVX 100A, Canon XL2, or better.

3) Cinematographer/D.P. MUST have technical knowledge of SMPTE Timecode, Smart Slates/Lap Top Slates/ iPod Slates, and Audio Playback techniques.

4) Cinematographer/D.P.MUST have lighting knowledge/experience.

5) Cinematographer/D.P.MUST have an online reel. (Cinematographer/D.P. candidates selected for review will also be asked to mail a hard copy of their reels to a provided mailing address).

5) Cinematographer/D.P.MUST have a can-do attitude and be willing to work a long day(s).

COMPENSATION:

$300 per day. Meals will be provided.

That would actually be quite a good deal in London. Shooting People ads often read like that for a freebie.

It would be an OK rate if they were renting the "high-end" package separately... but as one rate, they are basically asking you to throw in the camera for free.
