We rent an Astroscope night vision adaptor which goes between the camera and a B4 mount lens. It's not an Infra-Red device, but it works much better IMHO. Infra-Red usually only works in relatively close proximity and often is helped by an emitter at the camera. For animals sensitive to Infra-Red this is like shining a flashlight at them. The Astroscope is an Intensifier and we've had excellent results under nothing but star light. Other advantages of the Astroscope include no "crazy eyes" and no "blooming" on highlights, which are artifacts of Infra-Red and low-end intensifiers, respectively.
Thank You so much for the info.
