I'm disappointed in this year's Directing nominees...but that's in a different forum.

Concerning the DP nominees, as I think about each of the 5 films, the images from Prestige just stand out in my mind the most... plus the lack of DI earned it some points :)

Still, a fantastic group of nominees this year.

Jonathan , i agree did love what Wally Phister did , i hate DIs , but just think "Children " has the edge , the DI was done over here by Framestore i think , for some reason seem to do them better here than in US ! John Holland.

Yep, the Brits don't seem to crank the noise reduction up to intolerable levels like some of the US based companies like to do. Yes, that would be you, Technicolor DI...

Of the nominated films I actually liked the cinematography of 'Children of Men' best.
