What type of grease and oil should you use with the Konvas and mags? I have some arri oil and grease for my 2c, would that be ideal? I've also heard of using loctite's "Viperlube", which is a spray synthetic grease. THe only thing I can't really figure out is if I use the arri grease, how would I apply it? With Viperlube, you can spray it on, but the Arri stuff just comes in a tube...

Also, any thoughts on a good degreaser to clean the camera prior to servicing it?

The manufacturer can recommend of type of oil and grease for use with cine camera equipments.
If you need, i can give you original russian names of oil and greases, but, you can have problem to find this products now.

About oil and grease from 2C cameras, I think, this can be use with Konvas magazines too, but, will need study detailed of destination of this.
Konvas magazines have many ball bearing inside of film rollers and takeup reel.
This is ball bearing must have grease for high speed ball bearing.
This can be grease for high precision mechanism.
About spray synthetic grease, I don't know.
As for me, i use russian modern oil and grease from natural oil stock.

About clean, i use spirits ( alcohol) and ethylic ether and mix.
The metal parts can be clean with acetone.
I not agree idea of use of the any reactive chemical cleaner.

The Arri cameras use of oil for friction bearing too.
