We have been using a good ole' slate to
sync with the Tascam HD-P2 and it works fine...
as expected.

Just wondering though... is there a good way to sync
timecode even though the Tascam has no timecode out??

thanks

It's been a while since I've used the camera (and I believe they've fixed the time code issues since then) but I believe you can just sync them to each other by daisy-chaining bnc's.

True...but what if you want to start sound first...as you normally do with film?
Should we use an external timecode source for both camera and audio?

thanks
