Mac Tec HPL Rent them or buy them, just try them and you'll see the light speaks for its self. Just ask Bob Finley gaffer for Spider Man 3 who used over 50 on them. We make a 6 , 9 , & 12 Light HPL , Our 12 Light HPL wieghts 56 pounds making it Very condor friendly. With source 4 HPL technology License from ETC and interchangable lenses gives there are no hot spots or deadspots for more control of your light on the set. Lenses range from very narrow , norrow , medium , Wide , extra wide. The extra wide is not available in a standard par bulb and DP's and gaffer's are enjoying this new flexibillity. You can visit our website at www.bmlighting.com or call us at (818)771-1281 Fax: (818) 771-1279

Any rental houses carrying them in the NYC metro area?

I've haven't used any yet, but must say that it is nice to see that someone has updated the technology of the Mole nine-lite or "crowd blinder" and brought it into the 21st century.

It's interesting to see ETC's R&D is now being leveraged into mainstream film production products. The Old Dog's are learning some new tricks!
