If I were attempting to collect 9 identical super-8 cameras for a project are there any particular camera to look for? The requirements for this camera are that it take reasonably good images, be fairly cheap, and available. No need for a zoom, intervolometer, 24 fps, etc. but a wide lens is a big plus. Any suggestions?

That's a tough one. I suggest you just start collecting and have yourself a race. Many lower end Super-8 cameras can be had for well under 50 bucks, sometimes as low as 10 dollars. But collecting 9 cameras could take you anywhere from 30 months to a year to achieve.
